On September 17, 2020, the country of Angola celebrates the 98th anniversary of the birth of Dr. António Agostinho Neto, a writer and politician, born on September 17, 1922.Dr. António Agostinho Neto was the first President of Angola. Having founded the bases for which this Nation is built daily, to this day, his homage and his achievements on behalf of Angolans.The date of his birth has been consecrated as the Day of the Founder of the Nation and National Hero, as a way to keep present the principles, ideals and teachings of this illustrious son of Angola.During this period it was established that 17th OF SEPTEMBER - DAY OF THE FOUNDER OF THE NATION AND OF THE NATIONAL HEROI, is a day of celebration.Taking into account the imperative of confinement to which we are still subject by force of COVID-19, the Embassy of Angola in the U.S.A. discloses the political and cultural achievements led by António Agostinho Neto, who proclaimed the National Independence, through a virtual photographic exhibition on the Official page of the Embassy. In homage to the founder of the Nation and to all that if had sacrificed and continue to sacrificed in favor of the well-being of the Angolans let us join our efforts in the prevention and combat to the propagation of the pandemic of the Covid-19.
